The Art of Coffee | Millican x Red Bank

The Art of CoffeeMillican x Red Bank

This Sunday, we will be releasing a short-run of coffee, in collaboration with local Lakeland roasters, Red Bank Coffee. Red Bank offer a carefully curated selection of exceptional quality, highly traceable and sustainably sourced coffees.

This exclusive collaboration features artwork direct from Millican HQ. Our Creative Director (and local artist) Jeffrey Bowman has designed the label, inspired by the place both Millican + Red Bank call home.

"My work is inspired by the duality of man and nature. Living in the Lake District you can see and experience where we live together (and apart). The dry stone walls that line the Lake District that inspired the artwork for this project, remind me of that relationship, a balancing of stones to form a wall that could just as easy tumble down, a natural barrier in balance." - Jeffrey Bowman, Artist + Creative Director

You can get your hands on one of our super limited bags of coffee, this Sunday 18th April at 10am, by following @homeofmillican on Instagram for more details.

The Coffee:
Name: AS COTORRAS, MEXICO
Origin: Smallholder farmers of Ángel Albino Corzo, Chiapas
Country: Mexico
Certification: Organic
Notes: Cacao, Double Cream, Golden Raisin

This coffee is grown by a group of smallholder farmers in the Ángel Albino Corzo region of Chiapas in southern Mexico, close to the border with Guatemala, and home to the El Triunfo Biosphere Reserve. El Triunfo is the most biodiverse evergreen cloud forest in Mexico, and is home to the beautiful Cotorras birds after which this coffee is named. In the cup the coffee is incredibly sweet with a rich, creamy mouthfeel and notes of chocolate, double-cream and golden raisin.
