We have been living and travelling in our van for 4 months now. We built and designed our camper-van ourselves so that we have everything we need to live off grid and explore new places. On our most recent adventure we gathered everything we needed into our Millican Roll Packs and set off to explore the Majella National Park in Abruzzo, Italy.

After a steep uphill climb we emerged at the peak to an incredible view. The low hanging clouds were floating on top of the mountains in the distance and the sky was beautiful and bright. It was the perfect spot to unclip our mugs and enjoy a cup of coffee and a slice of van baked cake.
With the days being so short now, we didn’t have long before we had to make our descent. We stopped off to take a look inside a refuge shelter, which was held shut by a large branch. It had 3 beds, a fireplace and a small kitchen/ living area. We love finding these kinds of places on our adventures!
The descent back to the van took us through a steep, thick forest. We walked quickly, enjoying the crunching sound of the autumn leaves, whilst the sun set beyond the trees. We made it down just before nightfall to the comfort of our camper - and turned up the heating for a cosy night at the foot of the mountains.
Our tiny home has forced us to live a minimal lifestyle and only carry with us the things we really need. On our hike we loved being able to fit all our gear neatly into the pockets of our backpacks. The roll top with pockets was perfect for storing our water bottles in the easy access side pockets and our map in the front. The internal compartments in both packs made it easy to stay organised, separating our snacks from our camera - and with plenty of room spare for a warm jumper.
