SCRIBBLED THOUGHTS

Life was less hectic for Millican Dalton as he sat in his Borrowdale cave with pen in hand.
When he came up with a gem, he'd write it down, as we do. Here are some of the things we've
scribbled in our notebooks over the years. We revisit them regularly to add more thoughts and
make sure we're on track.

We prefer the slow, analogue way.
In a perfect world, the most important connections we make in life wouldn’t require batteries or illuminated screens.

We want to make gear that outlives us.
What if we designed stuff that people could pass down to their grandchildren?

To us, every weekend is a “long weekend”.
Why can’t we finally give Monday what it wants and legally merge it with the weekend?

The short cut or the scenic route? Not a tough choice really.
Choose scenic. If two roads diverged in a wood, the easy path would lead to a life no one really wants.

We don’t live life on autopilot.
We make conscious choices and we’re aware of the consequences that each decision will have.

We keep the back door open.
This is our pipeline to people and nature. At any minute, we may go for a wander. We’ll be back. At some point.

The future is bright only if we provide for it every day.
If you’re not planning for it now, the future won’t be bright. It certainly won’t be orange either.

Dreams – why have them if you’re not going to chase them?
To paraphrase Hundertwasser, a stamp is not a stamp unless it’s been stamped. Get out there. Live your own adventures.
